This series of   workshops is aimed at any teacher, coach or assistant in Key stage 1 or 2 who teaches gymnastics activities    

 

This practical course will look at good practise for the delivery of gymnastics in Key Stage 1 & 2 in a safe and structured format



PG TiPS - Dance

This workshop is aimed at any teacher, coach or assistant in Key stage 1 or 2  who teaches Dance type activities    


Dance is an area of the PE curriculum that causes some anxiety to teachers. These workshops are designed to give participants confidence and lots of ideas about how to teach great dance lessons, and make it engaging to all pupils

This series of ‘bite-size’ practical workshops will ‘up-skill’ and empower primary teachers to teach Games type activities. The focus is on innovative teaching and learning strategies and games content.

The focus is on sharing innovative and unconventional games and activities that will enthuse all children in PE lessons!

These non-accredited practical workshops are delivered as in-house twilights or ½ day workshops for schools and settings, by high performing practicing teachers. They are accompanied by a innovative resources. All courses are rigorously quality assured.


One particularly powerful way of working is for us to deliver these workshops to learning clusters and federations of schools, so encouraging the sharing of practice and experiences between colleagues from different settings.

ASA National Curriculum Training Programme


The National Curriculum Training Programme course provides the qualification


‘Fundamentals & Aquatic Skills Of School Swimming’

The Fundamentals & Aquatic Skills of School Swimming Certificate is part of the ASA National Curriculum Training Programme and is recognised by the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) and by the Professional Development Board for Physical Education.


NCTP has been developed to deliver the right training to teachers and assistants to ensure school children receive the best quality aquatics education.


The PE Hub, in partnership with UOB has negotiated with the ASA to facilitate a blended learning programme for this award, where trainees access the course content online, and then get assessed practically as teachers at the end of the agreed period of time


The blended programme incorporates:


• Flexible and easily accessible e-learning for initial modules enabling candidates to study at  their own pace


• Final face to face module for each candidate to attend


• Includes a set of Aquatics in the National Curriculum Activity Cards giving fun, varied and  progressive introductory  activities for children learning to swim


Completion of the NCTP equips teachers with the right skills and knowledge to deliver high quality school swimming lessons to help your school meet and exceed the national curriculum.
